This writing is motivated by the untruthful arguments of Honduran Chancellor Mario Canahuati and the many times correct judgments of the Director of the OAS Don Miguel Insulza and of some untruthful arguments for example intending to maintain that the present government, successor of the coup d'Etat, has taken firm steps for the constitution of a government of unity and we all know at the national and international level that this government is a government partitioned among those that have lent themselves to cleanse or try to cleanse and forget the coup d'etat and its crimes. With the aggravation that within this successor government of the coup d'etat there have been forthrightly enthroned in public posts of importance recognized golpistas and disavowing the Frente Nacional de Resistencia Contra el Golpe de Estado, which has been constituted as the principle national political force that brings together ample and diverse sectors of the country.
Moreover, the official communication despatched by Chancellor Mario Canahuati to his counterpart in Peru, Sr. José Antonio García Belaunde, makes claims in defense that have no great substance in the reality that the Honduran people presently experience altogether. We want to say to the Honduran Chancellor that the people did not turn out for the ballot boxes in the overwhelming form that he seeks to assert and that he should take into account that the same international community refused to observe the implementation of the elections to which all the world can testify and with abundant evidence. It is known by everyone that peace will not be achieved with the amnesty of the golpistas and their followers enthroned in power.
It appears strange to us that now Mr. Canahuati should be declaring that the process was observed by the OAS and supposes also by the United Nations and it is known by everyone that these organizations did not participate and he wants to emphasize that the process was legal, since it was convened in the time when President Manuel Zelaya Rosales served as legitimate president and that the coup d'etat had nothing to do with the normal democratic process. Then how would this person explain to us disturbances of legality such as, for example, the fact that in Honduras since the 29th of November we have lived with chaos, in which there were three presidents: one legitimate one confined in the Embassy of Brazil in Honduras; one illegitimate and a president-elect. So that only in the head of someone who is not capable of possessing the most minimum and appropriate vision of the context, could it be dared to defend such ravings.
Since their election it was known by everyone that the naming of the Tribunal Supremo Electoral was illegal, and to place emphasis on the legality of the internal primary elections, denying the illegality of the general elections carried out in the context of the coup d'etat and of curfews. Besides having succeeded in the candidates of all the large and small parties converting themselves into cleansers of the coup d'etat and that they constitute almost a single party favoring the coup in the widest sense of the word in return for the division of public offices, even without possessing the intellectual capacities for the discharge of the same and in other cases, without the support of their respective social foundations.
In the writing of the arguments of the Honduran chancellor, he continues repeating a big lie that these were the most voted-in elections and from the first moments of the initial official data on voting, provided by the same entities contracted by the Tribunal Supremo Electoral, the wide abstention by more than 60% of the electors was brought to public light, data that afterward could not be hidden and the varied conflicts were known by everyone, after what can with propriety be called an Electoral Somoza and Gomorra.
By means of the preceding arguments and by those that I have not detailed we want to ask Chancellor Canahuati that at the very least, he stops trying to continue converting the poor Honduran people into a shield, in order to seek international recognition. Since the minority of personages involved in the Honduran coup d'etat and their successors, never have been, nor will be preoccupied by the search to improve the levels of poverty of the ample poor minorities of the Honduran people. Their crass desperate error, of perpetrating a criminal coup d'etat, is only the product of their eagerness to perpetrate the actions of pillage traditional throughout Honduran history and that only have a peer in what occurred in France in the year 1789 and that occasioned the French Revolution, except that the Honduran golpistas and their successors committed this villainy in the midst of the 21st century. For which they easily are situated as some personages that are out of time and that intend to continue making idiots of the people giving official holidays to attend the almost certain defeat of our national soccer team.
