Lijie Zhu, Managing Director of Dragon Gate Investment Partners Named to 2011 Outstanding 50 Asian A
New York, June 17, 2011, Lijie Zhu, Managing Director of Dragon Gate Investment Partners was recognized as one of the 2011 fifty outstanding Asian Americans in Business by the Asian American Business Development Center at its gala at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City on June 16.

The Pinnacle Award honoree and keynote speaker at the event was Deven Sharma, President of Standard and Poor’s. Welcome remarks were offered by Senator Charles Schumer. Dr. Sapna Parikh, Fox5, was the master of ceremonies for the evening.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Gala &Ceremony of the Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business Award, which will honor Asian Americans from California to New York, representing a variety of Asian ethnic backgrounds, including Chinese, Filipino, Korean, Japanese, Indian and Pakistani etc. It continues to be the only forum to highlight the achievements of Asian Americans across the United States. The award recipients represent a microcosm of the elite Asian American business owners, professionals and corporate executives who are engaged in a wide range of business interests. The award committee identifies and selects individuals with outstanding leadership, vision and accomplishments who have built a successful business or who have distinguished themselves in their community.

This Outstanding 50 Award will cumulatively have honored more than 450 successful Asian American women and men from multiple ethnic backgrounds, representing over 30 industries and professions. "The award not only honors individuals, but serves to encourage the development of talent and leadership of Asian Americans," said John Wang, president of AABDC.

“I am honored to be recognized by the AABDC and to be in the company of such extraordinary individuals,” said Ms. Zhu.

Lijie Zhu, MBA, has more than a decade of experience in the financial and media industry in America, Europe and Asia. She was the Chief Financial Officer for a solar manufacture company listed in the US market. She also has experience of being a credit analyst for Rogge Global Partners in London and a financial analyst for Aufhawser Securities in New York. Before moving to the New York City, She worked as a business reporter for several Chinese media including China Center Television (CCTV) and China News Agency. Currently, she leads a career development program for the New York Society of Securities Analysts (NYSSA) and is an active member of the Asian Financial Society. In 2010 Ms. Zhu was recognized by NYSSA as their volunteer of the year. She graduated with a MBA and a MS degree from the University of Alaska Fairbanks, and a BA degree in Journalism and a Law Degree from Lanzhou University in China.
