Sehr geehrte Pressevertreter/Innen,

in Spanien (Madrid/ Getafe) befindet sich eine sehr engagierte junge Frau seit dem 26.4.2011 im Hungerstreik. Beatriz Ménchen ist seit Jahren im spanischen Tierschutz aktiv und ist in den Hungerstreik getreten, weil ihr Tierheim von einer Schädlingsbekämpfungsfirma übernommen werden soll, was das sichere Todesurteil für die meisten ihrer Tiere bedeuten würde.
Mit ihrer, bisher einmaligen Protestaktion will sie ein Zeichen für den Tierschutz und die Tiere in ganz Spanien setzen!
Obwohl Beatriz Ménchen breite Unterstützung in der Internetgemeinde findet (aktuell ca. 29.900 Einträge bei Google!), wurde leider bisher in den deutschen Medien nichts über sie berichtet.
Dies enttäuscht mich sehr, denn die Zeit eilt und sie braucht die Öffentlichkeit zur Unterstützung ihres Anliegens!

Estimado señor Pedro Castro Vazquez,

Me dirijo a usted porque he tenido conocimiento del cambio de gestión de la
perrera de Getafe. Un cambio absolutamente radical ya que ha pasado de una
gestión de 14 años con un 1,39% de sacrificios, a una gestión que en seis
meses lleva un 66,66% de sacrificios, con un presupuesto superior.

Creo que los Ayuntamiento deben seguir la voluntad de sus ciudadanos y de la
sociedad en general y, en este caso, los ciudadanos quieren una gestión que
opte por la adopción de los animales abandonados y no por su sacrificio
indiscriminado, una gestión de protección animal, en definitiva NO quieren
una perrera mata perros.

Un Ayuntamiento que, hasta el momento, ha podido ser ejemplo de cómo se debe
gestionar el dinero público en relación con el tema que nos ocupa, ha dejado
de lado algo que hacía bien y ha pasado a adjudicar un servicio tan
necesario y claramente indicativo del desarrollo de una población a una
empresa que, día a día, semana a semana, mancha de sangre el resto de
decisiones que pueda tomar.

Voy a difundir entre mis conocidos esta noticia, son datos públicos, los
ciudadanos deben saber como gestiona usted la perrera municipal de su
municipio y le recuerdo que esos animales, a los que se está masacrando a
poca distancia de su consistorio, no votan, pero todos nosotros sí.
